Led by East Street Arts and curated in collaboration with Compass Associates From West to North to East to South and Back is a series of six performance art nights across the region.
The programme aims to showcase live art in a visual arts context and connect artists, producers, organisers and audiences from the region and beyond. Each event will be a platform for both emerging and established artists from Yorkshire and beyond.
East Street Arts will work with three Compass Associates over nine months strengthening relationship between artist-led organisations in different parts of the region, encouraging dialogue and long-term working relationship. East Street Arts will coordinate the whole series and curate three events as part of its public programme in Leeds. Three other events will take place in the wider locality of the Associates: OUI Performance (York); Red Gallery (Hull) and Bloc Projects (Sheffield).
