Artist-led Professional Development Programme
We are looking to expand our team to include a practising artist, curator or other creative freelancer to design and deliver a 12 month programme of professional development events and activities, informed both by their own practice and Compass’ core aims.
In the past, Compass’ professional development programme has included events and initiatives such as the live art directory, sector meetings, artist workshops, discussion events and talks, mentoring and performance platforms.
In this new programme, we are keen to expand the kinds of events we run, and the breadth of artists we work with. Through taking an artist/curator led approach, we expect the programme will reflect the needs and concerns of live art practitioners across the region. Our aim is that the commission will work on an annual cycle, with one artist handing over to another and widening the scope and variety of practice we can support between now and 2018.
