We are pleased to announce the first events for Compass Festival 2014, with ground-breaking new work taking place in venues across Leeds from Forced Entertainment, Quarantine and Reckless Sleepers.
The Festival will present the first showing of Negative Space, a complex and intriguing show by internationally acclaimed performance company Reckless Sleepers. World-renowned Quarantine, from Manchester, will tour neighbourhoods on the edge of the city centre, with a new engaging and interactive piece – Between Us, We Know Everything and invite you to lunch in Table Manners. And we are delighted that the ever extraorodinary Forced Entertainment will be presenting a new version of That Night Follows Day (pictured) made with children from across Leeds. Written by Tim Etchells, the performance puts the words and sentiments of adults into the mouths of children with devastating, hilarious and poignant results.
