Compass and East Street Arts worked alongside artists David Lynch and Ailie Rutherford at the end of November to create a unique experience for a group of Performance Art students from Leeds Metropolitan University.

It involved a group of around 50 students undertaking a group cycle ride, visiting the numerous creative spaces, facilities and shops in the Leeds area. Following the previous night's event with Blast Theory's Matt Adams, the students were encouraged to think about alternative ways of mapping the city by deliberately following instructions from passers-by.The three groups converged on The Headrow and created one mass cycle ride through the back streets of Leeds.

The workshop was part of preparations for Bike Fest, a city-wide cycling arts festival this year in the run up to 2014's Tour de France. Compass and East Street Arts are seeking to involve as many artists as possible for this forthcoming event.
