Our Compass Young Producers Scheme is back for 2020. Find out more and apply here.

We're thrilled to announce the third edition of our hugely successful Compass Young Producers Programme. The programme offers recent graduates from local universities and colleges the chance to train and gain practical experience in all areas of contemporary arts festival production.

Our ambition for Compass Young Producers is to provide recent graduates of Higher or Further Education with real world experience of the workplace at a contemporary arts festival.  Past participants took part in the planning, delivery and evaluation of the festival through hands-on placements with the festival directors, masterclasses with festival artists and partners and one to one mentoring over the course of six months. They helped produce all the festival projects, working closely with artists, venues, technical staff and marketing.

This year it feels more vital than ever to empower young creatives with the tools they need to create a sustainable career in the cultural sector. We’re delighted to be able to offer three people aged 18-24 the chance to participate in the scheme.
