Join us at Light Night Leeds for an exclusive preview of HERE MARKS THE SPOT (25–28 November) by artist Melanie Whitehead Smith.
On Thursday 24 and Friday 25 October, 6–10pm, a dancing figure is projected onto a wall near Leeds University Union, mapping a site of queer joy and translating a personal moment into a public celebration.
For Compass Festival 2024, we’re presenting a series of these short dance films from 25–28 November in different locations, made in collaboration with Whitehead Smith and LGBTQ+ people in Leeds.
