Back in 2019 we were lucky enough to bring ZU UK and Nueve Voltios to Leeds for some early development work on this project before going on to commission and delivery ZU UK’s Pick Me Up (& hold me tight) as part of Compass Festival 2021. So, we’re pleased to share an opportunity to take part in their latest creative lab.
Collectively, internationally renowned artists from ZU-UK, Lá da Favelinha and Nueve Voltios, Will mark the 2 year anniversary of the first reported case of Covid-19 in Wuhan with a live-mixed event featuring work contributed by lab participants around the world.
Over 7 days (15 – 21 November) for roughly 20 minutes at a time, you will receive daily prompts for making, games for collaborating and creative assignments to collaborate with people all over the world.
The lab will operate via WhatsApp so you can take part wherever you are, at a time of day that suits you.
Each of the 7 days you will receive instructions for that day’s adventure and will be invited to upload what you create. This is a chance to join an international experiment (in English or Spanish or Portuguese) in jamming the live and the virtual, that supports a new way to connect as makers in the UK, Brazil, Colombia and beyond.
Your creative contributions throughout the course of the lab will culminate in a live event. Viva The Live on the 5th December at 6-8pm GMT.
Sign up before the 8th of November to take part!
