mimas ‘Emerging Curators' are inviting proposals from artists in the North East to participate in their forthcoming exhibition in the ARC Stockton:
The stimulus of this exhibition is the phrase, ‘terra incognita' meaning unknown land. We are concerned with capturing the aura of a location or idea that effects the emotions and behaviour of the individual/group through this interaction.
We invite the artist to explore, rework and interpret:
Physical/geographical/psychological terrain
The unknown and unexplored
The edge and beyond
Artists may use tools or take inspiration from: psychogeography, mapping, the derive/ flaneur, experience/memories, or present/old sites.

We invite submissions of new or existing work related to the brief above. It must include:

Important dates
Closing date: 12 midnight, Wednesday 15 May 2013. Applicants will be notified of success by 21 May 2013.
ALL work must be COMPLETED, PACKAGED and DELIVERED to us by 29 May 2013.
