Third Angel

Inspiration Exchange

26/11/2011 – 26/11/2011 11am-5pm Leeds City Museum
Millennium Square, Leeds, LS2 8BH

Where do ideas come from? And more importantly, which ones stick around and turn in to something? Join Third Angel's Co-artistic Director Alexander Kelly for a day's work of swapping ideas. What are the ideas, objects, phrases, images, texts or thoughts that have inspired you in the past or continue to inspire you? Over the 8 hour duration of the Exchange, we swap a personal catalogue of inspiration for an eclectic, multi-contributor library of ideas, incidents and events.

Alex Kelly has been examining the way we tick for a long while. He delights in everyday stories and the magic of the mundane. In quite a relaxed fashion he’ll tell us a story of inspiration and promise, in exchange for one from us. This way he builds a bank if inspiration that we can visit throughout the day. Take the weight off and be inspired. Annie Lloyd

Where do ideas come from? And more importantly, which ones stick around and turn in to something? For the Compass Festival of Live Art, Third Angel's Co-artistic Director Alexander Kelly invited visitors for a day's work of swapping ideas. What are the ideas, objects, phrases, images, texts or thoughts that have inspired you in the past or continue to inspire you?

Over the 8 hour duration of the Exchange, Alexander swapped a personal catalogue of inspiration for an eclectic, multi-contributor library of ideas, incidents and events.

About Third Angel

Third Angel makes entertaining and original contemporary performance that speaks directly, honestly and engagingly to its audience. Established in Sheffield in 1995, the company makes work that encompasses performance, theatre, live art, installation, film, video art, documentary, photography and design.

They use styles, techniques and interests discovered in their more experimental work for other spaces, to create new theatre that plays with conventional forms while remaining accessible to a mainstream audience.

Third Angel has shown work in theatres, galleries, cinemas, office blocks, car parks, swimming baths, on the internet and TV, in school halls, a damp cellar in Leicester and a public toilet in Bristol. The company has shown work at festivals and venues across the UK and mainland Europe, including Germany, Hungary, Switzerland, Belgium, Portugal, France and Spain.
