The oldest known salt manufacturing plant in Britain was found not so long ago on the Yorkshire Coast. To represent the generosity of spirit and diversity of the city of Leeds, Popeye Collective took to the streets to collect community salt.
Going door to door in Holbeck, Chapeltown and Harehills that asked the citizens of Leeds to donate a pinch of salt as a contribution to the making of Leeds Sauce.
